Kathy Hoff – 24th District Ohio House of Representatives
Kathy’s strong background in higher education serving a diverse population, management at all levels including executive roles while maintaining integrity, principles and accountability, assessment of community needs, budgeting and auditing are ideal transferrable skills to the legislative and political areas. She understands personally and professionally the need for the middle class to have equal opportunities to education and employment, how to develop and target employment opportunities, and what success lies within that opportunity for the State of Ohio. She understands the need to listen to your constituents and their concerns, and develop a strategy to meet those needs or research additional options that best serve the population as a whole. “I have devoted my career to DeVry University because I believe in the value we provide to a very diverse population, mostly first generation college students, who are seeking a career enhancement, a career change or getting started in their career. Being in the same position as they were 30+ years ago, I know what challenges they may encounter and the need for a number of services to develop skillsets to be successful. I hope to bring this passion, experience and energy to the legislature to listen, guide, develop and provide the citizens of the 24th District and the State of Ohio the voice, the education, the employment and the services they need for successful lives in our communities, which they all deserve.” http://kathyshoff.ngpvanhost.com/

I am running because we need leadership in the Statehouse that is a better reflection of our community. We need a State Representative that will stand up for Ohioans and work to create jobs, better our education system, protect our environment, and protect the jobs that we already have in Ohio.
As a teacher of special needs children, I have seen first hand how the unconstitutional funding system, standardized testing, and mandatory reading has hurt our children, and this will have an impact on them for their entire lives. When I am elected, I promise to roll up my sleeves and get to work for you, your children, and our communities. My door will always be open to my constituents.
