FEDERAL CHANGE

The IRS and Medicare will now recognize same-sex marriages. All of them.

One more step to equality…this time…even for us in Ohio!!

The IRS today ruled that same-sex couples, legally married in jurisdictions that recognize their marriages, will be treated as married for federal tax purposes regardless of whether the couple lives in a state that recognizes same-sex marriage!

In other words, if you go out of state to get married but still reside in Ohio….your marriage will be recognized by the Federal Gov’t!

This is a monumental day for our Ohio LGBT community…and for our LGBT communities across the nation!
