OHIO CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR WOMEN
(Ohio NOW)
OHIO NOW PRESIDENT’S STATEMENT http://ohionow.org/wp/?page_id=2381
OHIO NOW was founded in April, 1972 to facilitate coordination among local Ohio chapters, at-large members, the Great Lakes Region and National NOW. Ohio NOW works on issues important to women including reproductive freedoms, constitutional equality, national healthcare, LGBT rights, ending racism, tax reform, pay equity, elimination of violence and poverty. Ohio NOW does this by lobbying at the statehouse, working with statewide coalitions and educating NOW members about these issues.
Ohio NOW is governed by a Board of Directors, including elected officers, chapter and at-large delegates/alternates, committee chairs and task force/project/event chairs. They make decisions regarding statewide actions and their implementation at board meetings. Most board meetings are held in Columbus.
All NOW members are welcome to attend NOW meetings.
