Dear Susan,

Betsy DeVos is the new Secretary of Education and she has yet to express unequivocal support for Title IX. It’s time for her to hear from us about how important Title IX is to protecting students’ right to go to school in a safe environment, free from discrimination and violence.

Call 202-401-3000 to contact the Department of Education. If you are having trouble connecting, you can also reach the Department by dialing 1-800-872-5327.

When you call, let them know your name and where you’re from. Ask them to please tell Secretary DeVos:

  1. “I want the Department to keep in place Title IX guidance on preventing and addressing sexual harassment and assault and protecting transgender students from discrimination.”
  2. “I also want the Office of Civil Rights to continue its strong enforcement of Title IX and to keep publishing the list of schools under investigation for Title IX violations.”

Dial 202-401-3000 or, if you’re having trouble connecting, 1-800-872-5327 and ask Secretary DeVos to protect Title IX.

We must make our voices heard on this important issue.
